January 15, 2013 - 16:17Z. Carl is back in Rwanda as 9X0PY. I heard him building on 20 meters long path CW this morning, but didn't think I could get through Europe. Some EU stations were posting Carl as 20db over 9 on the DX Cluster. Well, ya' never know until you try. Thanks Carl!

I really had to cut down his signal on the FT-1000MP MK V to get him in the clear. 250hz CW filter on, IPO off, Noise Reduction "A", and APF on "240". Fortunately, that cut out the QRM, hash and the key clicks from the pileup.
