It might be I just can't see like I used to, or maybe I was just tired of changing light bulbs in my Hy-Gain rotor control boxes, but I can sure see them now! What a difference those little LED bulb kits from Idiom Press made.
Really, it was more a combination of having to replace those little 28V, 40ma, mini-bayonet 1819 bulbs all the time AND once replaced, I still couldn't see the damn meter face anyway.
A couple of pictures are worth a thousand words here. In the first pic, I had already installed the Idiom Press LED kit on the right rotor control. Compared to the right rotor control box, the left box is severely lacking with its standard 1819 bulb (yes it is on and lit). Enter picture 2 with kits installed in both rotor controls. The actual enlarged pictures aren't the best, but you get the idea - they are bright!
Easy, easy kit to assemble, and simple to install. It took about 40 minutes for each rotor control box, and now I can see what the hell I'm doing. To top it off, I may never have to open those lids again to replace bulbs as these LED kits will probably outlast me (sobering thought).
The kits are only $10.95 (shipping included) and you can order them right from the Idiom Press Website (visit). You can adjust to three levels of brightness too. I'll never spend $10 in gas to buy a couple puny 1819 bulbs at Radio Shack again, enjoy!

I am glad you are happy with them, now order the Rotor-EZ from them and install those as well, nothing better than point and shoot truning, brake delay and the Tail Twister feature that bumps the rotor to unlock the brake when turning, I have found them to be damn handy.
