eHam Forum is a waste of time.
“Cancel Culture” is alive and well at eHam Forum (eHam.net). I can’t even count how many forum topics in the “DXing” section have been “locked”. I’ve had enough. After the last thread I went to comment on was locked minutes ago, I attempted to delete my account. Isn’t it ironic the eHam Forum overlords have to “approve & allow” you to delete your account? Who does that in this day & age?
No harm, no foul here as “nutcase” Hams had taken over most of the interesting threads in the DXing section anyway. Several loser members and the commie censors that run the forum really do deserve each other. Another perfect example of misery loves company.

Since I can remember amateur radio has been chock full of socially deficient screwballs. Microphone warriors, now keyboard warriors. Social media has exposed a lot of them for what they are, misfits. Good on ya for breaking away. I left all of them years ago. Pave your own way. See you in the pileups.
It seems like Ham Radio and Forums don’t mix all that well anymore.
QRZ Dx section is like the Sahara Desert so it’s pretty much useless while eHam is much more interesting but the moderator locks discussions for no reason at all.
It feel like Kindergarten and the teacher is making sure the kids don’t act rude.
As for the Anti FT8 threads, it has really gotten out of hand, they keep locking them instead of encouraging more of them 🙂

It’s a given anything about the Rebel DXpeditions or Dom 3Z9DX either gets deleted or thread locked. You are correct eham is a waste of time.
There is always the group of self entitled (I am going to say it) Assholes in everything we do today. They can say whatever they want and when someone else beg to differ, they get “offended” and feel powerful when they have the ability to shut down a conversation with a press of a key on their PC’s. Yet, in real life they are nothing but weak, woke pussies. They cannot hold up a good conversation let alone a debate . These woke self entitled GMO’s made me chance course in a lot of things I deemed fun. Now, it seems they are taking over ham radio. It is going to get worse.
Please come back Wayne, eHam is getting worst by the day without you. There are no other good forums to discuss Ham Radio, so please, either come back or start a fourm.
Sorry my friend I’m way past wasting anymore of my time over there. That whole shitshow is in the rearview mirror.

Yep, I totally get whet you’re coming from. It used to be the eHam Dx forum was a place to get tips, give tips/advice, brag a little, and give/get s pay on the back when you bagged an ATNO. Now it’s like going to Thanksgiving dinner with a table full of opposing political viewpoints. The fun & camaraderie has been sucked out….
Times are changing Frank – and not for the better (in my opinion).

I gave up on Eham after I forgot my log-in password and requested a reset password email. The email never arrived (not in my junk folder either) and so I’m locked out of the forum….
You said this back in April and you were right. Look at today August 19 all the 6 recently locked DX threads! eham is a waste of time you are 100% correct.
Sparky, haven’t been back since my Blog post. For me eHam is a waste of time and I refuse to play their games.

I have been trying to get them to delete my account since Friday. It’s obvious now why they do that. There are so many leaving now that if all their content was deleted nothing would be there. I was there when Bill Fisher started Eham here in Atlanta. It really is sad what it has become. Hope you are well, I’m just getting over covid.
Jim, I haven’t looked over there in months. I asked them to delete me, but like you – I heard nothing. Not sure if they did or didn’t. Such a waste of time. I got tired of commenting and replying to comments – just for the asshole(s) to lock threads.
Hope you’re well – I haven’t been on too much. Here & there when DXpeditions decide not to run FT8 and occasionally to catch up with some old friends, but that’s about it.
